From "Operation Iraq Forever--Catastrophic Success"
By Manuel Valenzuela, 5/16/07

Like American Revolutionaries, Iraq's freedom fighters fight for independence and freedom, for nationality and to expel foreign forces from their country. If America or any other nation were invaded and occupied, resistance fighters would immediately spring up as well, forming an army of brave patriots using the tactics of the poor to try and contain the weapons of the much more powerful and wealthier military. Unfortunately, it is the poor of both countries waging war against each other, killing and maiming one another, for the benefit of the wealthy and powerful. Such is war that the poor are always made to fight each other when it is the elite that is their common enemy.

From "A Nation in Silent Anger"
Manuel Valenzuela, 5/8/07

It is now understood that those elected to represent the people are traitors to the principles by which America stands, betraying their sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution, our rights and freedoms. These individuals rarely vote in the interests of the people, almost always choosing to strengthen corporatism, yet the people vote them in nonetheless. In the years since 9/11 those who have woken from their slumber have realized that there is no major difference between the two political parties in America. While one party is more fascist and criminal than the other, they both nonetheless help to expand the world's right-wing dogma, whether it is related to the political or business world. Regardless of which party controls the presidency, the interests of the corporate world, that bastion of authoritarianism and conservative thought, of wealth and elitism, together with its perpetual expansion of power and control, is always priority number one.

The charade that Americans have choice, that real differences exist between parties, that elections are democratic and not predetermined through manipulation, omission, distortion and selection of candidates by those in power is yet one more illusion that those who have woken up now see. When said war turns out to be the greatest strategic disaster in the history of the nation and the so-called opposite party remains silent and indifferent, it cannot be said that an opposition exists.

"Nonviolence is the constant awareness of the dignity and the humanity of oneself and others; it seeks truth and justice; it renounces violence both in method and in attitude; it is a courageous acceptance of active love and goodwill as the instrument with which to overcome evil and transform both oneself and others. It is the willingness to undergo suffering rather than inflict it. It excludes retaliation and flight."

"War paralyzes your courage and deadens the spirit of true manhood. It degrades and stupefies with the sense that you are not responsible, that 'tis not yours to think and reason why, but to do and die,' like the hundred thousand others doomed like yourself. War means blind obedience, unthinking stupidity, brutish callousness, wanton destruction, and irresponsible murder."

"The lowest standards of ethics of which a right-thinking man can possibly conceive is taught to the common soldier whose trade is to shoot his fellow men. In youth he may have learned the command, 'Thou shalt not kill,' but the ruler takes the boy just as he enters manhood and teaches him that his highest duty is to shoot a bullet through his neighbor's heart - and this, unmoved by passion or feeling or hatred, and without the least regard to right or wrong, but simply because his ruler gives the word."

"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience.
Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders

Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity,

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the communists
and I did not speak out - because I was not a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for me -
and by then there was no one left to speak out for me. Pastor Martin Niemöller
"When I told myself that I do have a choice, I have a choice to do what is morally right, what is in my conscience, and what I can live with for the rest of my life--even though that comes with consequences, I do have that choice. When I realized that, and when I chose what was right for me, I became free again. And I think everybody has to remember that and to realize that is what is important in life."

Ehren Watada

From "You're Either With the Resistance - or With the Murderers"
By Arthur Silber, Lew Rockwell.com, Friday, February 9, 2007

When the order comes down to treat a prisoner with unspeakable cruelty, to "waterboard" him, to electrocute him, to cut him, to hang him on hooks from the ceiling for days on end, or to commit any number of other unforgivable crimes, there is always the man or woman who will say - without bravado, without show, without explicitly staking any particular moral claim, but as a simple, unadorned statement of fact:

"No. I will not do this. You can torture me, or say you will kill me. I cannot and will not do this to another human being. I will not do this. No."

It is the person who says, "No," whom we must seek to understand. It is not melodramatic or engaging in overstatement to say that he or she is our salvation.

Ehren Watada is one of those rare heroes who has said, "No" - and he is prepared to go to jail for four years for his refusal.

"The Earth is not dying - she is being killed. And those who are killing her have names and addresses."

"There is tonic in the things that men do not love to hear; and there is damnation in the things that wicked men love to hear. Free speech is to a great people what winds are to oceans and malarial regions, which waft away the elements of disease, and bring new elements of health. And where free speech is stopped miasma is bred, and death comes fast."
~~Henry Ward Beecher

Restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions. It is the one un-American act that could most easily defeat us.
~~William Orville Douglas

We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is afraid of its people.

If the fires of freedom and civil liberties burn low in other lands, they must be made brighter in our own. If in other lands the press and books and literature of all kinds are censored, we must redouble our efforts here to keep them free.

"These wars that almost all of us are terrified of, have also provided very useful smoke-screens to allow for the expansion of those powers, that have tightened the corporate death grip which threatens everyone not enslaved already! People the world over must come together to stop the wars, remove and punish the insiders and get back to questioning everything! In 2008 there must not be any FREE-SPEECH ZONES encased in razor wire and miles from the platform where supposed candidates come to campaign or debate. This nation was supposed to offer a public forum in the marketplace of ideas, especially during elections - and not simply to become a fixed travesty that supports only the moneyed view. Either we find a way to reclaim our rights to free and public speech or we can forget about all that high-blown BS about having anything like a real democracy! This is especially true during the current false-flag wars for corporate dominion over the resources of the world. This can only 'be' your world if you are involved in what happens in it!"

"George is not to blame. Every President in the Twentieth Century has been a hand puppet of the Rothschild-Rockefeller cartel of cartels. They wouldn't let George manage a gas station let alone the "Free World." Luckily, Bush just reads the teleprompter. Henry Kissinger, CEO of the visible NWO, issues the orders.

"Kissinger's orders" link

Derision only gives Bush credibility heightening the illusion the US has a functioning democracy, mass media and justice system. Remember, the US government is ultimately responsible for the slaughter of 3000 Americans in broad daylight Sept. 11. The US ruling class and punditry are complicit in the ongoing cover-up. The most obvious "controlled conflict" is the two party system."
